BSSC Senior VCAL students are presently completing community-based projects.
Today one Personal Development class presented a challenge to BSSC students to identify the difference between rubbish and recyclables.
Roadside rubbish had been collected into garbage bags destined for landfill.
“We’re going to sort it and see how much can be recycled,” said Carson.
Students were soon dividing up the ‘rubbish’ into plastics, soft plastics, glass and metal.
“It’s about not being lazy,” said teacher, Andrew Warfe, as students proved most of the ‘rubbish’ was actually able to be recycled.
