It was a Reconciliation Week celebration to remember at lunchtime today, as students and staff flocked to the plaza to enjoy Indigenous flavours, culture and history. As well as enjoying a free sausage sizzle and an array of tasty treats that featured Indigenous ingredients, students had the chance to create a mosaic artwork, designed to inspire conversations about Indigenous history and culture on the theme “Don’t keep history a mystery”. The event also included the unveiling of a new table tennis table in the plaza featuring the artwork of Indigenous artist, and BSSC alumni, Michellie Charvat. Thanks to all those who made today such an amazing celebration.
