Open Day

BSSC will hold its first Open Day for 2017 this Sunday 7 May from 11am – 1pm.

Open Day is an ideal opportunity to see the breadth and quality of senior secondary education that BSSC offers.

Visitors are asked to gather in the Ulumbarra Theatre foyer from 11.00am where they will be met by senior staff and members of the Student Council who will conduct tours of the College.

Open Day is a great way to get a ‘feel’ for the College and chat with teachers who will be available in the various learning areas.

From midday an information session will be held in the Ulumbarra Theatre where Acting Principal, Linda Lyons, and Assistant Principal, Meredith Fettling, will outline the level of excellence a student and their families can expect from BSSC.

This presentation will cover issues such as student pathways, curriculum, student support and specialist programs—including Visual Arts, Sport, Maths/Science, and Commerce.

BSSC offers Victoria’s most extensive range of VCE, VET and VCAL options. As Acting Principal Linda Lyons says, one of BSSC’s biggest strengths is that it provides an individualised program for every student.

“We are very proud of the way we support all students, whatever their pathway choice. Our teaching and education support staff all share the same goal – to see students thrive and succeed beyond Year 12.”

Staff and students look forward to welcoming you, and showing what BSSC has to offer.
