It was heads down and maths skills to the fore in James King Hall this morning with more than 80 BSSC students taking part in the Australian Maths Competition (AMC).

The AMC is a 30-problem competition that demonstrates the importance and relevance of mathematics in students’ everyday lives.

Australia’s leading educators and academics actively design the unique AMC problems each year.

The competition is a great benchmark for students’ maths ability given that tens of thousands of young people from around the country tackle the same set of problems.
