Year 11 student Liloma Qorbani and her family took to the skies over Bendigo recently as part of the FunFlight program. All across Australia FunFlight takes children and their parents and siblings for a FunFlight for about 15 minutes.

The Rotary Club of Bendigo-Strathdale joined with FunFlight three years ago, providing support with finances and providing a sausage sizzle for the families. This year, on Friday 26 October, seven planes and flew 85 passengers over Eppalock and around Bendigo.

Liloma and her family came to Australia from Pakistan earlier this year. She is one of seven BSSC students to win a place on the National Youth Science Forum and hopes to one day become an aviation engineer.
