What are the biggest challenges for you learning from home?

The biggest challenge for me is not being in the classroom environment. I find myself not completing as much work in a 55-minute block at home as I would at school. There’s a lot going on as well in terms of RLA’s, ELA’s, upcoming SAC’s and learning content, so without the day to day interactions with teachers and friends, learning content is that little bit more difficult

What do you like about learning from home?

I like that I have my own comfortable space to work in with no disruptions, where I can try and get a little bit ahead by completing work set for the next day. It means I can spend more time revising for SAC’s.

Have you got a favourite place at home to work?

It’d have to be at the desk in my room. I’m able to concentrate better and get more work done there, so it’s usually where I spend most of my time working.

Any funny, unexpected things that have happened as a result of learning from home?

I didn’t expect to open the fridge as much as I have while being home.

What do you miss most about physically going to school?

I definitely miss the social interactions with friends and teachers. It’s always nice to see how everyone is going and what they’ve been up to, particularly those in class who you don’t see every day.

Anything you’d like to say to the rest of the BSSC community during lockdown?

I hope everyone is safe and healthy! It’s great to see that everyone is doing the right thing by staying home, so keep supporting one another, make sure you look after yourselves and reach out if you need anything.
