Prospective students and their families experienced the breadth BSSC’s Language program last night with the college hosted its Languages Information Evening.

The evening gave those interested in studying French, Indonesian, German, Auslan, Chinese or Karen at BSSC the opportunity to meet the teachers, hear from current and past students, and even experience a VCE lesson.

LOTE and EAL Learning & Engagement Coordinator, Mardi Holland, congratulated the Languages team on hosting such an “informative, engaging and fun evening”.

“The feedback from parents and students was extremely positive, and the BSSC students, both current students and alumni, who spoke were a real credit to our Language program,” she said. “They clearly highlighted that learning a language is a valuable addition to a VCE program and that languages can open up the world… as well as bring the world to BSSC.”
