Ten BSSC students, including seven from NETschool, have received Kids Under Cover scholarships for the 2017 academic year. The scholarships were presented at Ulumbarra on Tuesday 11 October.
Kids Under Cover administers scholarships on behalf of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Scholarships to the value of $1100 are awarded to young people studying year 11 and 12 or the TAFE equivalent. They can be used to cover any educational items, including – but not limited to – uniforms, text books, public transport and laptops.
Ann-Maree Connors from DHHS officiated at the awards ceremony which celebrated the efforts students made in engaging with their schools. The scholarships were presented to sixteen students from Bendigo schools by Kids under Cover representative Haini Paul.
