The Student Scholarship Program is designed to assist young people living in public or community housing, or those at risk of homelessness, get the support they need to stay at school and achieve their full educational potential.

The Program is for young people studying year 11 or 12 or the TAFE equivalent. Valued at $1,100, these scholarships can be used to cover any educational items, including – but not limited to – uniforms, textbooks, public transport, and laptops.

Applications for scholarships for the 2019 academic year are now open and close at midnight on Friday 29 June 2018.

Eligibility criteria:

  • under 21 years of age at 1 February 2019;
  • an Australian citizen or permanent resident;
  • living in social housing or at risk of homelessness;
  • studying in Year 11 or Year 12 at a Victorian Government school in 2019;
  • have the potential for a good attendance record and successful educational outcome in 2019;
  • supported within the school
