EAL-VCAL students were hard at work again today, cleaning football boots donated to their Boot Drive initiative. For the past month, students have been collecting used football boots to support newly arrived students who want to play football/soccer in Bendigo.
More than 70 pairs of boots have been donated, along with other sporting gear including footies and tennis balls… even a cricket bat and hockey stick.
The Boot Drive was supported by the partners within the Greater Bendigo Cultural Diversity and Inclusion Plan Sports Action Group including Sports Focus, AFL Central Victoria, Bendigo Community Health, Sports Power Bendigo, Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services, and Bendigo Futsal Centre.
