Students in Kendall O’Sullivan’s Senior VCAL PDWRS class have been learning about the importance of education and the inequalities that occur across the world with young people’s education.

Their research has led them to the fact that two-thirds of the world’s illiterate people are women!

As a way to address this, the students are partnering with a program called ‘Give a Girl a Book’ and are calling for donations of books that will be sent to girls in Africa where they will help to empower and change lives.

You can help with this fantastic community project by donating:
• Pre-loved or new kindergarten to Year 7 books
• Dictionaries
• Atlases

Donation points are at the BSSC Library front desk and Staff Centre (near the pigeon holes).

This project will run until the end of Term 1.
