BSSC has officially welcomed six French students on a short-term exchange from Institution Saint Louis in Saumur.
Principal Dale Pearce welcomed Manon Barlier, Pauline Desse, Lily Laurent, Rabineau Lucile, Myriam Gillier and Chloé Michaud, and thanked them for welcoming BSSC students into their homes over Christmas.
“It’s such a wonderful opportunity we all have, to exchange and learn from one another,” he said. “What we usually discover is that we’re all the same in so many ways.”
Assistant Principal, Bronnie Bishop, spoke about the history of the college and acknowledged how daunting it could be for the students to be in such a different environment speaking their second language.
“We hope you’re getting into the rhythm of attending classes and feeling at home with your host families,” she said.
The students arrived in Bendigo on the 20th January and will be with us for four weeks. Make sure you say hi!
