BSSC students had a rare opportunity to speak candidly with two federal politicians on Monday morning in an intimate and engaging session with Member for Bendigo, Lisa Chesters, and Shadow Assistant Minister for Education, Amanda Rishworth.
Students were posed some BIG questions, such as: If you were Minister for Education, what would you do for schools in the region? AND If you were Prime Minister, what would you change?
The conversation was lively and articulate with topics ranging from opportunities for regional students, the difficulty of balancing study with work, to national issues of importance such as the treatment of refugees, same sex marriage, and the environment.
BSSC thanks Lisa Chesters for bringing Ms Rishworth to our college and instigating a vibrant and insightful morning for our students.
