Students, staff and host families gathered for dinner last week to farewell our German exchange students from Nellenburg Gymnasium in Stockach. It was a time to share stories, laugh about the fun times that have been had over the past six weeks, and even shed a few tears as some strong bonds have been formed between the students and their host families.
It was wonderful to hear the German students speak about their hometown Stockach, the region around the Lake of Constance, their school, and their experiences here in Bendigo. They certainly had a fantastic time.
Students said their final goodbyes at Tullamarine Airport yesterday before flying back to enjoy the rest of their German summer. They’ve now landed safely in Zurich and are reunited with their families.
