BSSC has a culture of bringing our students’ 13 years of schooling to an end with positive and inclusive celebrations. Students are encouraged to attend the graduation ceremony on Wednesday evening, then the following day, dress up in costume to spend their last school morning celebrating and having fun with fellow students and staff.  The aim is always to end formal schooling on a high note.

In order to prepare for the coming festivities and exams, students should be sure to attend the following key events:

Monday 17 October: Final Year 12 assembly.  Students will receive information regarding locker clearance, exams, graduation ceremony, the last day of classes, and transport for the English exam on Bendigo Cup day (public holiday).

Wednesday 19 October: Year 12 Graduation ceremony. This event is held in the Ulumbarra Theatre.  Access to Ulumbarra will be at 5:30 pm and students who have purchased tickets should be ready in their House assembly areas at 6:30 pm to get their names checked off on Group lists:

  • Wilcock – BSSC Music studio
  • NETschool – U4 Hospitality Theory room (next to café)
  • Mackay – Ulumbarra – Room U2 (Upstairs above café)
  • King – Strategem Studio
  • Freeman – BSSC Dance Studio (next to Strategem studio)

Guests need to be seated in Ulumbarra by 6:45

Thursday 20 October: Last day for Year 12 students. The Year 12 last day celebrations will commence in Ulumbarra at 8:50 am with the principal’s address and a screening of the Year 12 DVD to thank students for their contribution to BSSC.  This will be followed by a fancy dress parade, tattoos, signature board, popcorn, BBQ and photo booth in the Ulumbarra courtyard. There will be prizes for the best costumes so get creative.
