Unit 2 Health and Human Development students celebrated the birthday of dozens of ‘egg babies’ this afternoon as part of a unique learning activity.
Over the space of a week, students will analyse factors that contribute to healthy development during prenatal and early childhood and the roles and responsibilities of families in optimising the physical, social and emotional health of all family members.
Today, each student chose and named their egg baby, weighed and measured it, filled out its birth certificate and created an environment that will hopefully keep it safe 24/7 for the next week. These egg babies are not hard boiled, so require genuine, round-the-clock care to keep them safe.
