It’s always an honour to have guest speakers here at the college, and today was no different.

Singer/songwriter and proud Yorta Yorta man, Scott Darlow, treated the BSSC community to a wonderful performance at lunchtime in the Plaza – and also spent time throughout the day speaking to several classes.

Scott’s engaging presentation style and gift for music had students and staff hanging off every word. His goal is to share lessons that he’s learnt throughout his life with young people so that they don’t have to learn the hard way.

The musician spoke to students about following their passions and encouraged them not to waste a day.

“The most important currency is not dollars, but time,” he said. “Life is about how you spend it and how you’ll be remembered by your family and friends.”

An inspiring visit and fantastic start to Cultural Diversity Week – thank you Scott.
