Hsar K’ Paw is a Year 12 VET Hospitality student considering his career options for next year.
An interest in horticulture led Hsar K’ Paw to complete a week of Structured Workplace Learning at Neangar Nursery in Eaglehawk, where he was able to apply skills he gained in his VET subject to the workplace.
Neangar Nursery specialises in Indigenous flora and supplies organisations such as the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, the City of Greater Bendigo and some local developers.
Hsar K’ Paw worked within a team to cultivate a variety of trees and shrubs, propagate saplings, re-pot seedlings and organise customer orders.
“I really enjoyed working in the nursery environment,” he said. “I’ve learnt a lot.
