A group of Hospitality and EAL students had an opportunity to learn from the best on Wednesday, when Sonia Anthony from Masons of Bendigo visited the college as an ambassador for Bendigo Foodshare.
Sonia donated her time as part of the Million Meals in March campaign, giving a hands-on cooking demonstration that not only promoted healthy eating, but involved the students at every stage of the process.
It was a great addition to Cultural Diversity Week with our Karen students working alongside Hospitality students to create a sweet potato gnocchi and peach and filo custard pies for dessert peach and filo custard pies for dessertpeach and filo custard pies for dessert.
All the students received a free cookbook, courtesy of Bendigo Foodshare, to foster their love of food and encourage healthy eating.
