BSSC is a collaborative member of the National Reconciliation Week Film Festival and will be screening the Aaron Petersen film ‘Zach’s Ceremony’ in the Language Centre (with pizza) for students, staff and the public on Thursday 31 May from 3:00pm.
Growing up isn’t easy, especially for Zach who is rapidly making the transition from boyhood to manhood, in both the modern world and his ancient culture. Pressures from his loving, but staunch father, the temptations of city life and the ever present spectre of racism all take their toll. Ultimately this boy must embrace the traditions and knowledge of his ancestors and awaken the warrior within.
This is a free event!
The following day, Friday June 1, the Ulumbarra Plaza will be the only place to have lunch as Hospitality students serve up a delectable gourmet bush tucker BBQ.
You will also have the opportunity to take part in piecing together a magnificent mosaic and, while you are there, paint your hand and add your print to our student-built table-tennis table.
