BSSC students with an interest in aviation careers had the opportunity to put their passion to the test yesterday with a visit to the college by the RAAF Flight Simulator.

The Air Force Simulator Experience is part of a motivational program used to develop interest among young people in aviation careers such as Pilots, Air Combat Officers, and Air Traffic Controllers within the Royal Australian Air Force.

BSSC students got behind the controls of the Super Hornet simulator, tried their skill at Air Traffic Control games, and had the chance to try on aircrew life support gear and hear a variety of aviation presentations from RAAF officers.

The experience gave BSSC students the chance to ask all their burning questions about life in the Air Force, in an informal setting, and tap into the real life experiences of the RAAF team members.
