The Ulumbarra Theatre and the BSSC Gym were both filled to capacity today with Year 11 and 12 students attending their first year level assemblies for 2019. Principal, Dale Pearce, encouraged Year 12 students to take charge of their learning and get off to a great start.
“Year 12 is an endurance event, so you need to be organised,” he said. “Your future starts right here, right now… tune in to what your teachers are presenting and complete the first learning assessments to the very best of your ability. It will help set the standard for your year.”
Students in both year levels were briefed about college culture and expectations – inclusion and students support – leadership, sport and travel opportunities – and college communications including Compass and Facebook.
