Year 12 Art students made the most of their Step Up classes this week, completing a series of quick drawing exercises before each artist explored their own unique style. Some of the exercises included drawing with their non-preferred hand, drawing using only straight lines, attaching charcoal to the end of a ruler, blind contour drawing, and 30-second drawings.

In Art Fashion, students stepping up to Year 12 showed off their 2016 group project – a three-metre-high fabric creation that explores subcultures. Students individually studied a subculture of their choice – including punk, hippy, bohemia, manga and naturalism – before bringing them together into this impressive group art work displayed on the top floor of E Wing.

Well done to our imaginative, innovative, artistic students and teachers. We look forward to seeing your creativity on display in 2017.
