Arrangements for start of Term 4

Dear Students and Parents/Carers

Schools have been advised this afternoon of the return to school arrangements for regional schools.

For BSSC this involves the following:

  • Monday October 4, the first day of term, is the same as the end of Term 3 with all Year 12 students and Year 11’s doing a VCE Unit 3&4 subject attending on site. NETschool students will also attend.
  • Tuesday October 5 is the day of the GAT and only students doing the GAT will be on site.
  • From Wednesday October 6 all Year 11’s also return to school along with Year 12’s.

I’m pleased that from Wednesday October 6 we will have all BSSC students back on site for face-to-face classes. It will be a busy time for students heading into exams and for Year 11’s who have not been on site for several weeks. There will be plenty of work to do!

Well done to all those students who have been in for practice exams over the last few days.

Attached is a letter for all students undertaking the GAT.

Any further information we receive over the coming days which will impact on students will be shared as it comes to hand.

For your information, students in other year levels will have a staggered start to the term as follows:

  • Prep to Grade 2 return on first day of term (same as last term)
  • From Monday October 11
    • Prep – Grade 2 continue full time
    • Year 7 full time
    • Years 3 & 4 and 8 & 9 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
    • Years 5 & 6 and Year 10 on Thursdays and Fridays
  • From Tuesday October 26 all students back full time

This plan will have regional students returning to school more quickly than their counterparts in metropolitan Melbourne.

Yours faithfully

Dale Pearce
Principal
