Year 12 VET Business student, Jayden Jowitt, decided to explore career options in the hospitality industry and undertook a week of Structured Workplace Learning at the Hotel Shamrock in Bendigo.
With his Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) qualification, Jayden was able to apply his VET Business skills in all areas of the workplace, including serving at the bar where he gained an understanding of Victorian liquor regulations.
“It’s been a really great experience” Jayden said. “I’ve learned a lot and can see how much organisation is required to run the hotel”.
