This afternoon, Visual Arts students and staff gathered on the Arts Floor for the annual Visual Arts Acquisitions Exhibition.
Sadly, due to COVID restrictions, parents and families were unable to attend the awards presentation, but students still appreciated the chance to get together and celebrate the completion of their studies in Art General, Art Fashion, Studio Arts and Visual Communication Design.
VET Music students, Lucy Harrison and Mia Mazzarella-Preston, entertained while everyone enjoyed drinks and nibbles, and Leroy Miller gave the Acknowledgement of Country to begin proceedings.
This year’s guest judge was local artist Tony Day who was impressed with the high standard of work on show in 2021.
Honourable Mentions were awarded to Sascha Muller for ‘Treasury of Being’, Zara Long for ‘Past: Nativity’, and Jenaya Ramadge for ‘Perception Changes’.
