General Information
The Margaret Standen Bursary, sponsored by her family, was established in 2018 in memory of Margaret, a valued member of the Visual Arts Learning Area at Bendigo Senior Secondary College from 1977 to 2013.
The Bursary will provide Year 12 students studying Art Making and Exhibiting (Painting, Drawing, Printmaking; Ceramics and Sculpture or Photography) and/or Art Creative Practice with support, in the form of bursaries to assist students to pursue their passion and career within the Visual Arts.
Art Creative Practice Fashion students can also apply if they intend to create a textile based soft sculpture.
Eligibility
Applications for a Margaret Standen Art Bursary for 2024 are invited from Year 12 students who:
- Are completing Units 3 and 4 Studio Arts (in any discipline) and/or Art General in 2024
- Can articulate how the Bursary will help them pursue their Arts passion
Selection Criteria
Applicants must be studying Units 3 and 4 Studio Arts and/or Art General and will be selected against the following criteria:
- Demonstrated interest and passion in the Visual Arts
- Information from two referees; at least one should be a teacher at BSSC
