General Information
The Margaret Standen Bursary, sponsored by her family, was established in 2018 in memory of Margaret, a valued member of the Visual Arts Learning Area at Bendigo Senior Secondary College from 1977 to 2013. The Bursary will provide Year 12 students studying Studio Arts (Painting, Drawing, Printmaking; Ceramics and Sculpture or Photography) and/or Art General with support, in the form of bursaries to assist students to pursue their passion and career within the Visual Arts.
The Trust makes available Bursary funding of $4000 each year to be used to support students to purchase materials and/or equipment to help them further their passion in the Visual Arts. The Bursary total will most likely be split amongst a number of students/applicants.
Successful applicants will be required to complete an online application form which includes a detailed budget on how the Bursary will be spent. Applicants will also be required to provide a brief written report to a panel detailing how the proceeds of the Bursary were used to support studies in the Visual Arts and assisted in supporting students to pursue a career pathway in the Visual Arts.
The number of bursaries awarded and the final value of the bursaries will be at the discretion of the panel.
