The School Sport Victoria (SSV) Senior Girls Cricket was held on Monday 16th March at the Mercy Junortoun Sports Precinct.
The BSSC Lions took on SEDA College, Carlton in the State Championship Quarter Final. SEDA won the toss and choose to send the Lions into bat.
Maddy White and Megan Walker opened with patience and poise.
Runs were hard to obtain in the middle section of the innings.
Megan retired on 25 while Maddy brought up her half tone. The Lions made 98 runs off the 20 overs, only losing one wicket.
Maddy Best struck early with a catch from Jayda Alford but unfortunately the runs kept flowing from SEDA. Zoe Ross let the bails fly with a nice delivery in the eighth over. The run chase ended in the twelfth over.
