As part of Law Week, one of Cindy Growcott’s Year 12 Legal Studies classes visited the County Court of Victoria to speak with His Honour, Judge Mason. Kate, the accused, was charged with a number of very serious offences. Alicia was a key Crown witness, Jemma, the Crown Prosecutor fought a tough battle against Steph (Kate’s defence barrister). Once the jury had found Kate guilty of all charges, it was up to Eliza, the Judge in the case, to sentence her to a term of imprisonment!
