Congratulations to the BSSC swim team on achieving some great results at today’s Sandhurst Division swimming carnival.

Georgia Waller – 50m breaststroke

Second placings:

Sophie Waller (17yr girls) and Ziggy Lau (17yr boys) were also individual age group champions.
All swimmers who won an event will now progress to the Loddon Mallee Region finals in Swan Hill on Thursday 21 March.

SPORT SELECTION TRIALS
Selection trials for the following sports will take place in the coming weeks:
- Volleyball – Monday 4 March and Monday 18 March
- Basketball (girls) – Tuesday 5 March
- Table-tennis – Wednesday 13 March and Wednesday 20 March
- Netball (girls) – Tuesday 26 March, Thursday 28 March, and Thursday 4 April
All selection trials take place in the gym commencing at the beginning of lunchtime (1:00pm).
BSSC STUDENTS MAKE BENDIGO PIONEERS FINAL LIST
Fifteen BSSC students have made the final list for the Bendigo Pioneers for this year’s under-18 AFL competition.
In the boys’ competition, Brady Rowles, Braydon Vaz, Caleb Fisher, Darcy Matricardi, Jack Ginnivan, Jack Hickman, Jack Merrin, and Zavier Murley were selected.
In the girls’ competition, Emily Cooper, Jemma Finning, Emma Gilligan, Bree Heiden, Annabel Strahan, Rachael Stubbings, and Mia Ward were selected.

SCHOOL SPORT VICTORIA – STATE TEAM TRIALS
Each year, talented Victorian School students have the opportunity to trial for a place in the School Sport Victoria (SSV) Team Vic State team. Selected students participate in annual School Sport Australia (SSA) Championships including the Pacific School Games (PSG) held every second year. These championships offer gifted and talented students the opportunity to participate in higher levels of sporting competition against students from other Australian States and Territories.
