Basketball (girls) – Loddon Mallee Region finals

Great result for our girls basketball team, progressing to the SSV State Finals following a win at the Loddon Mallee Region finals in Echuca this week. This game was a re-match against St Joseph’s Echuca following the tied result earlier this term. Our girls were sensational. We only had five available players, so everyone had to play full game time. In a fantastic defensive effort, the girls restricted their opponents to only two points in the first half, and five points in the second half, while scoring 28 themselves – a great effort in 30 minutes of basketball. Well done to the team – Keisha Tonzing, Brooke Mangan, Rachelle Mangan, Elisa Pica, Taylor Stibbe, and coach Jonathan Goodman. Top scorers were Keisha Tonzing and Brooke Mangan, both with 8 points.
