What a fantastic Recognition of Achievement evening BSSC staff, and the families and friends of NETschool learners, witnessed in the beautiful Ulumbarra Theatre last night.

Always one of the highlights of the college year, the 2025 Recognition of Achievement provides a formal opportunity to acknowledge the dedication and development of learners and to thank the committed and highly-skilled staff who make NETschool such a special place.

As one of few—or possibly the only—education setting in Victoria dedicated solely to supporting students to complete Years 11 and 12, NETschool helps set learners up to step more confidently into their futures.

Awards for learners who have contributed a huge amount to their peers or who have demonstrated remarkable commitment or persistence, are sponsored by local MPs, Lisa Chesters and Maree Edwards, Anglicare Navigator Program, WISE Employment Windarring, and Agnico Eagle.

The 2025 award winners are:

Youth Mentor Award – Nell Fitzallen

Trailblazer Award – Skye Barker

Change Maker Awards – Sienna Cole-O’Brien & Phoebe Shee

Everest Awards – Ksenya Wightman & Layla Gentle

NETschool Achiever of the Year Awards – Ella Dowsey & Ted Barker

As always, heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this event such a special one. Particular mention must go to Judy Stewart whose oversight and management is so deeply appreciated.
