A massive thank you to everyone who supported Student Council’s Million Meals Easter Fundraiser ‘Spoiling those you love’ by buying our Easter eggs prior to the holidays. A total of $112.75 was raised in only one week. This was a tremendous effort.
A big thank you to all Student Council members who assisted in selling the chocolate and promoting the fundraiser; this is just one of the many fantastic fundraisers to come this year.
Thanks also to the Bendigo Senior community for supporting such a deserving cause. Our money went straight towards Bendigo Foodshare’s Million Meals target of $63,000, which was reached last week. Now Foodshare can now provide a Million meals to those in need in Central Victoria. BSSC’s Student Council helped attain that goal. Well done everyone!
Bendigo Foodshare is community owned and does not receive government funding. The organisation sources and donates food to a number of relief agencies to support those in need such as the 25% of people in the City of Greater Bendigo do not have enough food for their next meal at some time each year.
