As part of their study of ‘narrative’, Chinese International students have produced picture books on a whole range of subjects… some scary, some cute, and some that teach life lessons.

Yesterday they had the opportunity to practice their English skills when they read their stories to Prep/Grade 1 students

Our Chinese students all agreed it was a great way to build their confidence when it comes to speaking English in public.

“Each story was like presenting a speech… we learnt what voice we need to use so that other people can hear us clearly, and how to talk with young children. We were able to talk and ask questions to each other.”
