BSSC’s cricket team missed out on progressing to the State Finals after being defeated in today’s Loddon Mallee Region Finals.

In the first game, they had a win over Cohuna SC, making 113 off their 13 overs, and then bowling Cohuna out for 63. Riley Burns (49 not out), Ben Williams (22), Jack Ginnivan (22), and Ryan O’Keefe (19) were the top scorers.

In an amazing bowling achievement, Noah Begg took 8 wickets for 6 runs from his 3 overs.

The second game against Mildura SC was a must-win game, with the winner advancing to the final. BSSC batted first and made 84, with Ryan O’Keefe top scoring with 29. Jack Ginnivan made 20 not out, and Ben Williams 13. Mildura was able to chase the runs down with about 10 balls to spare. Tom Martin was the most economical bowler, taking 1 for 6 from his two overs.
