Peter Burns’ community services students filled the V1 kitchen with delicious aromas this morning, preparing meals for those in need.
A partnership with Bendigo Foodshare, the class prepared over 50 meals for members of the community. The meals will be distributed to people with low income, no income, or who are experiencing homelessness.
On the menu today: pasta bolognese and vegetarian pasta.
Some of the vegetables that were used in the meals were grown right here in the BSSC vegie gardens.
Caroline and Joe from Foodshare were on hand to help guide the students in the kitchen.
The meals were packaged into individual serves to be distributed to people within the Central Victorian region.
Well done, everyone. The food looked and smelled amazing!
