VCAL students in Ingrid Woodward’s Intermediate PDWRS class showed their appreciation of Bendigo’s hard working health care professionals yesterday, presenting 130 care packages to staff at Bendigo Health ED Department.

The students used money raised on VCAL Market Day to create the packs that include a mug, tea and coffee, a Kit Kat and hand cream.

The care packages were presented to Director Fundraising and Foundation, Rachel Mason, and Emergency Department Nurse Unit Manager, Jennifer Oxley.

BSSC’s VCAL Coordinator, Mardi Holland, said it was amazing the difference VCAL students have made in 2022.

“Through this project, they looked at ways to support others and link into their wider communities,” she said.  “The students learn lifelong skills from projects like this and Market Day.”
