For students studying Studio Arts, Artistic Inspiration is an important part of the Studio Process—students must demonstrate this in both their folios and exam. So it was that Helen Attrill’s Visual Arts students headed to the Bendigo Art Gallery today as part of their Step Up week classes, seeking inspiration from a range of exhibitions at the gallery.

One of those was Josh Muir’s exhibition ‘What’s on your mind?’ Muir is a young indigenous artist who has created a series of interactive, large-scale multimedia works that draw on aspects of youth culture and identity and his own Indigenous heritage and personal story.

The Photography students were able to see how photography can be combined with AR and digital art to create exciting interactive art, while the Studio Arts class explored ideas related to Metamorphosis and Surrealism.
