When you were a student, what did you want to do beyond year 12? What are you doing now?

I wanted to be an Architect or Interior Designer… and I became an Interior Designer.

What do you love about the work you do now?

I created my own business which allows me to work around my three small children. I work with clients around the globe, have been included in the ‘House & Garden Top 50 Rooms’ twice, and love working with my beautiful clients.

What’s one of your most vivid memories of your time at BSSC?

I was a square… a nerd… never did anything wrong. Year 12 ‘muck up day’… naturally I was the one that got caught with a water gun and got taken to the Principal’s office. First and only time throughout my whole schooling life!

Was there a particular teacher or staff member who inspired you?

My photography teacher in years 11 & 12, Helen Attrill. She was kind and generous with her knowledge and pushed my love of photography.

Were you involved with any extra-curricular activities?

The Rock Eisteddfod… both years.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to your 16-year-old self?

It really matters so very little what other people think of you. Surround yourself with a couple of wonderful friends (mine are still my best friends 21 years later).
