Accelerated Learning.
In order to provide opportunities, challenges and flexibility for students there are accelerated learning options.
Year 11 Students studying Unit 3&4 Subjects
Students entering Year 11 have the opportunity to include a Unit 3&4 subject in the first year of their VCE program.
Students should be achieving of above averages results across all their subjects areas, have strong organisational and time management
skills before pursuing this option.
This option provides greater flexibility within the VCE and has benefits for students by:
- providing extra challenges
- catering for students already well advanced with studies of a given topic
- the resulting score being included in the student's Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) score; and
- reduces the pressure of studying a full Year 12 course in the second year.
Reviewing Your Course.
Want a change? If you have failed a unit, if you are dissatisfied with a
unit, if you have changed your career path or if you simply wish to try
something different, then you may wish to alter your original selections.
What do you do? When?
- At the beginning of each semester you can talk about changes with your
VCE Co-ordinator. There is a form to complete.
- At the end of each semester students will confirm their unit selection
for Semester Two. If you wish to make a change see your Co-ordinator. There
is a different form to complete.
*Speak with your teachers, parents and careers advisor about such a decision.
