ANZAC DAY
The school was represented today at the Bendigo ANZAC Day Service. Gabrielle Collis (Student Council President) and Jaan Butler (Vice-President) attended and laid a wreath on behalf of the students. Jaan Butler also presented the ANZAC Requiem, a poem about Australians at war. A number of students in the Defence Force cadets and other organisations were also in attendance. We would like to thank Dale Pierce for organising our involvement.

SCHOOL ANZAC DAY SERVICE

Today, Gabrielle Collis and Jaan Butler hosted the annual school ANZAC Day service. The service was held in fine weather in Rosalind Park. A number of guests, including ex-students, ex-staff and RSL representatives, were present.

A highlight of the service was the Catafalque Party, organised and commanded by James Sait-Vaker, a Student Council representative. The tri-force cadets also provided a guard of honour for the traditional walk up the Memorial Steps.

At the conclusion of the service, guests, participants and the Student Council Executive were treated to lunch in the Staff Centre.

Year 12 BBQ
Friday 20/10/06 The student council organised a fantastic farewell for the year 12 students on their last day of classes before exams. The lunch time BBQ was a huge success as was the fairy floss. The Strays played on the top tier outside B block and students enjoyed a relaxed lunch with teachers and staff at BSSC. Thanks to everyone who helped set up and cook and to our fabulous chef's - Mick and Barry!
