Students complete the vocational qualification CUF20601 Certificate II by completing Units 1 and 2 in Multimedia
and CUF30601 Certificate III by completing Units 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Multimedia as part of their VCE or VCAL.
Students will receive VCAL/VCE credit as well as a vocational qualification when they follow the prescribed
program approved by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority.
The CUF20601 Certificate II in Multimedia is normally completed in one year, by completing units 1 and 2. The
CUF30601 Certificate III in Multimedia is gained by completing units 1 to 4 in succession.
This course aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills in the production of multimedia and the use
of technology which will enhance employment prospects. It provides an understanding of multimedia design,
software and hardware in work related tasks required in the industry.
The CUF20601 Certificate II in Multimedia will contribute two units towards completion of the VCE (units 1&2)
whilst the CUF30601 Certificate III in Multimedia will contribute four units towards completion of the VCE (units
1-4) and will provide a contribution towards an ENTER if students undertake the VCAA assessment tasks and
exam at the end of unit 4.

Students should note that
a contribution of $110 is
required from those taking
this course. Payments are
made via the booklist and
help the College to provide
specialist and sessional
trainers, log books and
course materials.
The suggested program includes VCE units which complement the VET program selected.
Students may substitute other VCE units if the recommended units do not fit their career pathway or interests.
VCAL students wishing to include VCE units in their program are advised to choose from the recommended units that
complement their VET selection (industry strand).
