Unit 1 and Unit 2. |
UNIT ONE & UNIT TWO - involves folio work that develops skills in freehand and technical instrumental drawing in both 2 Dimensional and 3 Dimensional forms.
This involves a variety of tasks for both units of work. The design process from concept to presentation is also explored with students developing
computer skills in the completion of presentation(s). Students who complete both units of work will be well prepared for year 12. Students picking
up Unit 2 only, will develop the above skills however further development for homework will be needed. Each Unit also includes study on design
styles and analysis of visual communication with an emphasis on the elements and principles of design. 70% is practical tasks, 30% is written
tasks for both Units.

2 Dimensional and 3 Dimensional works can result in developing creative LOGO DESIGNS applied to, swing tags or business cards
Larger tasks might involve product design, furniture design or architectural design. Presentations that promote the designed product
may be in the format of a poster design, 3D model, package design, architectural blue prints or point of sale.
