Assessment: Assessment in Australian History is a 2 hour written examination in November (50%), Unit 3&4 school assessed coursework (50%).

History of Revolutions

History of Revolutions will help you to understand the causes, processes and patterns in violent and radical change in societies.

French Revolution

Areas studied

  • Old regime France 1770-1789 -tensions and causes of revolution
  • Revolutionary ideas/movements and leaders -the collapse of government
  • Revolutionary changes from 1789-1804, including crises faced by the revolution
    Russian Revolution

  • Old regime - Russia 1905 - February 1917 -tensions and causes of revolution
  • Revolutionary ideas/ movements and leaders -and the collapse of government
  • Revolutionary changes from February 1917 -1932, including crises faced by the revolution
Assessment: Assessment in History of Revolutions is a 2 hour written examination in November (50%), Unit 3&4 school assessed coursework (50%)
