The focus of this unit is the study of how individuals use, and can be affected by, information technology in their daily lives.

Note: A student can NOT select both ITIT1 and ITTP1
    Information Technology
The focus of this unit is the study of how individuals and organisations, such as small businesses, clubs and government agencies use, and can be affected by, information systems.

  • Applications and implications
  • Information systems
Note: A student can NOT select both ITIT2 and ITTP2

Information Systems

In Information Systems you will study a programming language such as Visual Basic.

Information Systems
This unit focuses on techniques and procedures to analyse and design information systems and to partially develop a software design specification through the use of programming language.

This unit focuses on techniques, procedures and strategies to develop, implement and evaluate a proposed networked information system.

  • Software engineering
  • Information Systems engineering (development, implementation and evaluation)
  • Information Systems: networks
Assessment: Assessment in Information Systems is: Unit 3 school assessed course work (25%), Unit 4 school assessed Coursework (25%), and an end of year examination (50%).
