School-Based New Apprenticeships

School Based New Appreticeships (SBNAs) are a Commonwealth Government initiative that enables secondary school students to complete VCE/VCAL whilst undertaking paid part-time employment and completing a nationally recognised qualification.

Benefits

  • Increased flexibility for students by participating in vocational education and training during secondary school.
  • Students are able to work, earn and learn.
  • Students are engaged in active learning.
  • Increase in School retention rates.
  • The employer plays an active role in training the young person to develop skills specific to the workplace.
