WHAT IS MIPS?

MANAGED INDIVIDUAL PATHWAYS

A Victorian Government initiative ensuring students at Bendigo Senior Secondary College are provided with individual career pathway plans with associated support, as a means to continued education, training or full-time employment

THE MIPs TEAM AT BENDIGO SENIOR SECONDARY COLLEGE AIMS TO:
  • ENCOURAGE & MOTIVATE students to remain in school or training until the completion of Year 12 or equivalent
  • Assist & support students to make a SMOOTH TRANSITION from school to further education/training/employment
  • Assist students to DEVELOP SKILLS to manage their pathways throughout their WORKING LIVES
  • Support students in DEVELOPING THEIR KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING & EXPERIENCE of OPPORTUNITIES in education, courses, training & employment
ONGOING HELP AND SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE TO:
  • Assist YOU in discovering WHO YOU ARE and WHAT is IMPORTANT to YOU
  • Assist YOU in discovering WHAT you are GOOD at
  • Assist YOU in creating YOUR own individual CAREER PATHWAY PLAN
  • SUPPORT YOU in job preparation, counselling & mentoring
  • Give YOU a POSITIVE FOCUS to move FORWARD & achieve your GOALS

Just pop into the Pathways Office & ask to see one of our Team - Lorelle or Jenny
or
Ask your Teacher/Coordinator for a REFERRAL to MIPs
