TERM 1 FOCUS: Orientation, Team Building, Promoting Positive Well-Being and Relationships

Monday Group Meeting (20 minutes)
  • Administration - See Agenda pdf document
  • Mini College 1-2: Assembly

Tuesday Interview Time (60 minutes)
  • Tutor interviews – Class release time – all week
  • Begin 1st round interviews.
  • Discuss timetable, subjects, attendance policy , MIPS and student self assessment (goals)

Thursday Group Meeting (25 Minutes)
  • See Agenda pdf document for details
  • Introduce and complete Pathway Plans (Tutors might like to split group into Year 11 and Year 12.)
    Explain how these plans can be useful - eg goal setting, career and course planning, information for references/tutor reports etc.
  • Discuss value of keeping a record of participation and achievements throughout the year, such as Pool Party, Breakaway selection, sport, etc Useful for references and tutor reports. Students can keep records in their student handbook under 'Application for a Reference' p131 or College Record of Achievement Folder.
    Tutors may like to use a template like the one provided to record details for Tutor Reports/References.

Suggestions / Guidelines for Tutors
  • Establish 1st round of interviews with students
  • Tutors might consider interviewing year 12 students together in small groups
  • Tutors might discuss goals & priorities as per students pathway plan
  • Follow up absences
  • Deal with individual student concerns and queries
