General Information

Students enrolled at Bendigo Senior Secondary College have the opportunity to study up to three computer industry certificates at the same time as doing their VCE.
Community members can also enrol in some courses.

These courses have been selected to provide students with certification covering the three major areas of computer skills. Students can achieve internationally recognised and highly sought-after industry certifications by sitting exams at independent testing centres.

Bendigo Senior has established relationships with each of these companies, who are providing high levels of program support and enhancement at very low cost. These certificates are becoming increasingly valuable as the workplace and everyday life becomes more and more reliant on computer technologies. Those intending to work in the industry will find it an excellent opportunity to get a head start at a fraction of the normal cost.

• Aries: PC Maintenance and Repair: Hardware and Operating Systems
• Cisco Networking Academy Certificate and CCNA
• Microsoft Certified Professional MCP

Students have already had the opportunity to select the Microsoft and Cisco courses when submitting course enrolment forms. There are still vacancies in these courses and students can still be enrolled by contacting the VCE Coordinators as soon as possible.
