The Bendigo Senior Secondary College Library offers a collaborative, vibrant and caring environment. As an integral part of the learning community we facilitate learning and teaching outcomes through intellectual and physical access to the highest possible level of resources.

The Library aims to enable students to be:
  • supported and encouraged to become independent learners
  • confident in using a variety of resources including information technology
  • able to value learning as a lifelong process
  • able to demonstrate appropriate information skills development
  • respected for their individual, religious and cultural differences
The Library program:
  • is centred on resourced based units of work cooperatively planned with teachers and teacher librarians.
  • is linked with information literacy skills, thinking skills, student learning outcomes and evidence based practice.
  • promotes an enriched literature culture through a wide selection of fiction and provides opportunities for using literature enrichment activities.
